Well we all knew it wasn't going to be an unbeaten season. Doesn't make it fun but maybe the lessons will sink in more when they didn't get the win
I never want to hear a Bills fan talk about the refs again. They got just about every **** call. And weird how they don't seem to mind it.
Andy has been reverting back to some of his pass happy playcalling in the last couple of weeks. He said after the game that he probably should have called some more runs. Hopefully he will take this lesson from this game. With our WRs missing he has to be more patient with the runs. Hunt had some nice ones. Steel has been really good on the short running situations throughout the year. Trust it. It has worked. I also would love to see some more of the quick passing game. The o line just can't handle all of the drop backs and it is showing just about every week.
Mahomes had a bad start a really bad start. Once again threw a pick while trying to make a play on the first pass of the game. And that gave the Bills 6 points. Could have been a much different game if that didn't happen. Like with Reid hopefully the fact that they were not able to overcome it this week makes it sink in a little bit more. This has not been his best season at all. He finally had to pay the price. Now maybe we can see the better Patrick Mahomes we all know.
Kelce was not involved at all. I don't know if it was because they were looking to get Worthy more involved in the game or what. But you are going to need more from him to beat a good team and we just didn't see it today.
Worthy had a very good start to the game. It was a bright spot of this game. But the early success did not hold through the entire game. They adjusted to it. And he needs more practice getting his foot down in bounds still. (Although the throw could have been a little better) Still very nice to see the rookie getting more involved in the gameplan. He in many ways has been put in a tough spot with all the guys hurt. The first half was hopefully the start of him coming through and grow into the offense. Good job rookie.
The defense had it's worst game of the season. First time in a long time they gave up 30 points. All the way back to the Super Bowl against Philly. They have been outstanding all year long so it's not time to hit the panic button just yet I would say. We like with the WR spot are playing very young guys who are learning on the job so you can understand a bad game at some point. Lets just hope that this is all it was. Spaggs will use this to learn from.
All in all the Chiefs while it sucks to lose are the last team to lose a game this year. They have lost to the Bills the last two seasons and still went on to win the Super Bowl. It sucks but this might be a blessing at the end of the day. No pressure of being unbeaten or any of that stuff. And we have a perfect get right game coming up with the Panthers. Lets just hope that the time they finally were not able to overcome the mistakes is a learning lesson that gets their attention. Still in great position if we don't keep making the same mistakes. GO CHIEFS
