Well yet another week of football has past. We are down to one unbeaten and hey that would be US.
The Vikings took their first loss this week. But even in that loss they continue to show they are a legit team. The Lions are one of the best teams in the NFL a 2 point loss to them is nothing to be ashamed of. They had some chances to win that game. They can learn from that game and maybe they are a real threat to be there at the end in the NFC.
Speaking of the Lions How weird is it to say that they are one of the best teams in the league after decades of being decent a couple of years laughing stocks many years. Something that came to mind while doing the postgame and commenting on how lucky we are to have Veach is John Dorsey. Everywhere the guy goes he turns the team around. He did it in KC. He did it in Cleveland YES CLEVELAND winning their first postseason game since returning to the league in 1999. Think they regret that now? And now he is doing it in Detroit. The man like Veach is very very good at what he does.
So we were supposed to be afraid of the Chargers yet again hun. This was one thing that so far I got right in my preseason predictions. Yet another year they were poised to be the favorites to win the west if you listen to the media and welp how is that working out. The Cardinals are not as bad as they have been in years past but they also are not a top contender by any means. The Chargers are simply still the Chargers Harbaugh or not.
Like the Chargers the Jets got a lot of hype with Aaron Rodgers and it's just not going well. I don't think that any team that has already fired the head coach is going to make a deep run in January and I don't think the Jets are going to change that no matter how many exteammates of Rodgers they bring in. They went all in with a guy who is shall we say past his prime to say the least. The Jets are still the Jets.
Are the Dolphins going to even be able to make the playoffs. You can understand why they are struggling losing their QB. But man what a disappointment they have been this year. I am just wondering how Tyreek is liking all that money. I hope he is really enjoying it because he is not going to be winning anything soon. I think they are a team that is going to have to look for a new QB going forward I just don't think you can trust Tua to not get hurt with all he has been through.
I don't think there is a bigger surprise in the NFL than Washington. They found a franchise QB and they are getting the rewards of it. He got hurt on Sunday but from what I have seen it wasn't anything that is going to be long term. And they were smoking the Panthers I don't think that injury will take to much out of them.
In Cleveland things went from bad to worse. Yet again their QB is out for the year. They are simply screwed with that contract nobody is going to trade for him even with all his off the field stuff he is not playing well at all and nobody is going to want him. They can't really cut him because of that contract. If they do they will be eating so much of their cap. Sometimes things really don't work out and this is one of those cases.
After the Ravens MNF game I heard the talking heads on ESPN talking about if Henry is healthy nobody is going to beat the Ravens. Man are they right. I mean I can't think of any team that has beat them with a healthy Henry. Or that has pretty much stopped everyones running attack so far this year. I mean it's not like there is a 2 time defending Super Bowl champion team that has been doing that. Not at all.
I am so ready for Sunday. The Raiders made a lot of noise in the off season with their little stunt. Not the first time we have seen them doing one of those moves before they play the Chiefs. You had them stomping on the midfield logo at Arrowhead a couple of years ago and then there was the little victory lap they took. Each time they paid the price. It seems they didn't learn from those. Time to give them yet another lesson in respect. GO CHIEFS
