Well here we are at the end of another week of football. Very interesting week with some unexpected results.
For a team that talks so much the Bengals are now 0-3. Their Defense was going against the Commanders and couldn't even force one punt. They at one point gave up a touchdown to the Commanders when the Commanders only had 10 men on the field. I mean WOW. They took Washington for granted for sure. I don't know if there is a more cocky team in sports than the Bengals and tonight it came back to beat them. Couldn't happen to a nicer team.
You can take the Raiders out of Jokeland but you can't take the Jokeland out of the Raiders. I had the Panthers on 0-17 watch after their first couple of games. But WOW I didn't even allow myself to think I would be able to laugh at the Raiders this week but here we are. Thanks for the laughs guys.
The Vikings are for real? Can't say that I was expecting that at all. Good for Sam Darnold. If he keep this up the Vikings are going to have a interesting choice to make. What do they do at QB. Do they go with Darnold going forward after this year. Or do they go with JJ McCarthy? That will be an interesting call. Up to Darnold to make them make that choice but so far he is doing it. And it's been against two really good teams.
The Ravens got a W this week. But man they don't scare me nearly as much as they did going into the year. They week in and week out do the stupid things that get you beat. They just about blew a huge lead against the Cowboys. Teams come back to make games closer than they really were all the time in the NFL. But with the Ravens it's how it happens that gets me. They commit stupid personal fouls. Have constant issues with the little things. It leaves me wondering if they really need to make a coaching change. I know Harbaugh won a super bowl but at some point coaches have to fix those things. Instead he seems to just let it happen.
Sometimes football shows how little you know about football. Like the Panthers I had the Giants on 0-17 watch. And they to go the win. Prior to the season I had the Browns as a sleeper team well you can scratch that off the list. Week 1 already had me wondering but hey every team will pretty much have a klunker I thought maybe they just got theirs out of the way already. Then I saw them lose to the Giants. If I were the Browns I would be looking for any way to get out of that Watson contract.
I may have thought the Bills were done after they lost Diggs but they are showing they are still very much a threat. Sometimes it's addition by subtraction and that might be the case with them and Diggs. The Bills are 3-0 and just stomped the Jags. We may again be seeing them in January maybe instead of Cincy. Allen looks as good as he was with Diggs. Maybe he lost a headache and is more relaxed.
I for one didn't expect the 49ers to be 1-2. They really blew that game against the Rams. I am not sure if it's a super bowl hangover or maybe it's because of all the drama they had during the offseason. Sometimes that lingers around. I am not to worried about them they will be fine I think. But they might not be as scary as they were at the start of the year. And hey they still haven't had Cmac this year that will help to. I will say Purdy has looked pretty good without Cmac. I think he is finally starting to earn some respect from the doubters.
Wow what a showing by Jayden Daniels. Through 3 weeks it looks like the Bears might have once again chosen the wrong QB.(not sorry Roy) I was a big fan of their last mistake. Washington fans to date are pretty happy with this one. Most impressive thing is Daniels has yet to turn the ball over. That's pretty **** good for a rookie.
It's on to week 4 and the Chargers vs Chiefs coming up. Lets see if we can get that 2 game lead in the west Until next week GO CHIEFS
